User Tutorial

Setting up your account !

Login with a few simple steps and create your ShareSkill account. Users can set up their ShareSkill jobseeker profile through the website and the app. Whereas NGOs can create their ShareSkill NGO profile only through the website.

Setting up your profile !

After logging in, update your ShareSkill profile the first thing. Ensure that you provide correct information (Email address, Contact number). While it’s not a compulsion, we recommend uploading your CV/resume and using skill tags on your profile since NGOs and project owners review your ShareSkill profile before hiring you.

Searching volunteering/job related to your skill

In the search bar, use skill tags – Art, Finance, Culinary, Sports, Tutor, Health, IT, Design, Dancing, Management, Psychology, Music.

Set your location, to find the opportunities near you.

Applying for Volunteer/Job/Project Vacancy

By clicking the desired opportunity’s post, users can apply for any opportunity they like. Make sure to update your ShareSkill profile (upload your resume/CV, contact details). NGOs and project owners will review your ShareSkill profile before accepting/denying your application.

Users will be notified regarding their application through notifications.

Start a Project

With ShareSkill’s “Start A Project” feature, users can start their social welfare projects, invite other users if they do not have enough team members, and finally pitch the project to ShareSkill-associated NGOs.

The NGOs will review your pitched project and approve or reject it. Users can check their pitch status in “My Projects” and the notifications.

Start a project: Invite your friends to your project

If the project starter has enough people on their team already, insert their ShareSkill usernames to pitch the project.

Start a project: Invite users for your project

Project Starter can invite other users to join their project if they do not have enough members to start.

When inviting other users to join the project, the project starter creates vacancies. The vacancies must consist of required qualifications, experience, age, skill tags, etc.
The project starter can create multiple vacancies to invite users to join their project.

Start a project: Post vacancies

The project starter can post vacancies for the project. They can describe their ideal project teammate by mentioning required skills, age, qualifications, etc.

The project starter is notified when other users apply for their posted vacancies.

Other users can view the project and even view the project starter’s profile. They will have this preview.

Start a project: Accept/Decline applicants

The project starter can view applicants and accept/decline them. The applicants will be notified regarding their acceptance and rejection.

Project starter can edit their project and invitations in “My Projects.”
